Students may choose “School Pick Up – No Shipping Charge” to pick up outfit at the Campus Store during the dates noted below, during the week before the event.
Or select “Ship to Home” to have it shipped directly to you earlier in late October, or November, or December.
This is a nice option if you want to take photos earlier than in December. Enter the address where you want to receive it, 2-3 weeks after ordering. Because this is a personal order, there will be a small shipping fee when sent to a private address.

All pre-ordered and walk-in orders for a keepsake cap & gown (excluding Home-shipped orders) are distributed on campus, the week of the ceremony at The Cornell Store, lower level.

If you are unable to pick up your order, you may have a friend pick up for you. Text friend your full name, college, degree (or give friend your order confirmation email) to show the vendor that you are giving permission to have your friend pickup the order for you. Your friend does not need to bring your Student ID, but will need to pay the cost on your behalf.If you do not pick up your outfit on campus and had pre-ordered, it will be returned to the vendor and a refund will be credited to your account that was used for payment.

Each cap and gown outfit contains the styles and colors appropriate to the degree being conferred in the appropriate college or school.

Tassel: Your tassel color represents your degree-conferring college and includes a degree-year tag. The appropriate tassel color will be included in your order. In addition to this free tassel, you have an option to purchase a Cornell red & white souvenir tassel, and are welcome to wear both tassels on your cap.

Cap: All caps (mortar boards and soft tams) are one-size-fits-all, so no measuring is necessary when ordering. The appropriate cap style will be supplied with your order. Caps may be tastefully decorated and kept as a souvenir.

Gown: Your gown/robe style represents the degree being conferred. You only need to know your height when ordering. The appropriate gown will be supplied with your order.

Hood: A hood is part of the graduate degree outfit (no undergraduate hood) and the color represents one’s field of study. The appropriate hood will be supplied for the graduate degree you choose when you order online.

PhD degree candidates wanting to purchase their own customized tam, gown, and hood may order directly from HerffJones here.
